To be a kid again (otherwise known as) To sleep outside without being drunk.

My two youngest boys are sleeping outside tonight on the trampoline. They are bundled up in blankets and are lying under the clear night sky with a million stars overhead.

I kinda freaked out Magnet with the first photo. He didn't hear me coming outside.

Alien is already sound asleep buried in his pile of blankets.

The night is just wonderful, a soft breeze, mild temperatures. It's kinda tempting to join them.

I think the last time I slept outside, I had passed out on some lawn chair after drinking waaaay too much and woke up the next morning with a ton of little stripes across my face.

Just not the same.

What a great post - brings back many memories of sleeping outside as a kid. Yeah, I think as an adult, the last time I slept outside was after one of the hurricanes. At least outside there was a breeze - - I was determined to find a way to rig up a floating device to sleep in the pool (but was afraid I would roll over in my sleep and drown!)

That is so sweet! It's still in the low 20's where I live, so I'll not be sleeping outside anytime soon.

RE: your bad boy post: I am a die hard Anthony Bourdain fan. Love him!

Lucky kiddos. The last time I feel asleep outside was camping drunk by the fire and woke up covered in bug bites and a beetle stuck in my hair.

Looks like fun especially since they have what appears to be a giant stuffed orange dog to gaurd them!!!

Magnet does look a bit suprised or more like scared. Poor kid, you should have told him you was there.

Well, aside from the first surprise picture, it looks like someone is not in the least bit camera shy, lol.

The last time I slept outside all night was at our Galveston friends' beach house last summer. Yes, there was a large amount of alcohol involved but the deciding factor was the roar of a freight train, AKA Mr. Snooty snoring. I was willing to risk getting crapped on by some bird, just so I could freaking sleep.

you could sneak out and draw stripes on their faces like the good old days.

that sounds so amazing and peaceful. Is there an age limit to when you can/won't do it anymore?

How fun for them! However, I think I would be awake all night inside if I knew they were outside.

My kids beg me to let them sleep outdoors in our yard all the time. This year... I'll let them.

I really just came here today to say THANK YOU for blessing me with your comments and for following me... I consider it an honor that you read me. I read you too!

Judging from the look of Magnet's face... I think he might've wet himself. A little.
